SIMEC Foundation is a non-profit (NPO), non-governmental organization (NGO) in Bangladesh committed to advancing inclusive and sustainable development. Through education, skills development, research, and social welfare initiatives, we work to create opportunities for children, women, youth, and marginalized communities, enabling them to improve their livelihoods and contribute to society. Since its establishment in 1998, SIMEC Foundation has been engaged in educational and social initiatives. Its NGO registration in 2025 marked a new phase of institutional growth, enabling the organization to expand its development programs and strengthen its community impact.
We believe that sustainable progress is built through knowledge, collaboration, and innovation. By working with communities, public institutions, development partners, and the private sector, we develop practical solutions that contribute to a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous society.
Our goal is to empower underserved communities through practical education, skill development, research, health support, and welfare initiatives. We aim to build a socially responsible, skilled, and self-reliant society by supporting poor but meritorious students, promoting women and youth empowerment, improving access to healthcare, and strengthening rural communities through sustainable development programs.
I always cherish a small belief in my mind that I am born in this world only once. And I will die only once. After death, I will never get this fleeting life back. There is no way to return to this beautiful world. Therefore, whatever good I do, I have to do it once.
I was born in village; I spent my childhood and adolescence there. It is not just me; like me, most of the people of Bengal have spent their lives in rural village. We all owe a debt to the soil and people of Bengal. People made of soil will take their place in this soil after death. This journey of 'SIMEC Foundation' is an attempt to dedicate itself to the welfare of the soil and people of the village Bengal, which is the memory of my childhood and adolescence, from a small effort to repay that debt to the soil before taking shelter in the lap of this soil forever.
Rural Bengal is the true form of Bengali mother. If we want to build Bengal, if we want to make Bengal stand before the world, we have to work with rural Bengal. If we want to develop Bangladesh and make Bangladesh beautiful, we have to make Bengalis educated as a nation with modern education. I have always understood from traveling from country to country that the people of my village are deprived of modern education and real medical services. If these people can be educated and developed through social education, if they can be given minimum modern medical services, then one day they will all together enrich and develop their own villages.
I have been cherishing the dream of such a prosperous rural Bengal for many years. Whenever, wherever and however I live in this vast world, no matter how far I am from rural Bengal, I am always in this dreamy trance. May it be just my private thoughts, just the trance of dreams. But living in the dream of this thought gives me the motivation to serve the country all the time.
I don't know how much I can serve the country in this one lifetime. I don't know if I will see that prosperous village in this lifetime! Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Still, what's the point of sadness!! The only consolation is that at least I have started a good work!!!
